Day 1: Arrival in Madagascar
You have landed in Antananarivo Airport, Welcome to Madagascar! Before heading to your hotel on your transfer car, you can convert the amount of money you need into our local money. Overnight in a charming boutique-hotel.
Day 2 : Antananarivo-Diego Suarez
This day marks the beginning of your marvelous stay in the North of Madagascar. Indeed, you will be taken to the airport to catch a domestic flight to Diego Suarez city. According to your flight time, you will either enjoy an excursion to the Emerald Sea or an excursion at the Ramena beach combined with the French Mountain. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 3: Diego Suarez-Montagne d’Ambre National Park
Today, you will drive about one hour in order to visit the Montagne d’Ambre national park. Located near the town of Joffreville, Montagne d’Ambre National Park is a jewel of biodiversity. Created in 1958, this park covers approximately 18,200 hectares and is distinguished by its cool, humid climate, contrasting with the dry heat of the surrounding regions. Montagne d’Ambre, an ancient volcano, is home to a lush rainforest, often shrouded in mist, providing refuge for exceptional endemic flora and fauna. Iconic lemur species include the crowned lemur, the panther chameleon, as well as numerous species of orchids and ferns. The park is also rich in picturesque waterfalls, such as the Cascade Sacrée, and hiking trails accessible to visitors of all skill levels.
Day 4: Montagne d’Ambre-Red Tsingy-Ankarana
After the Montagne d’Ambre National Park, today’s drive will take you to the Ankarana national park. On the way, you will make a stop to visit the Red Tsingy. These unique geological formations, sculpted by erosion, reveal fragile peaks of sandstone, marl, and laterite in vibrant red tones. Easily accessible, they offer a magical setting with a stunning between the red earth, the blue sky, and the surrounding vegetation, perfect for nature and photography enthusiasts. After a visit there, you will be taken to the Ankarana village within a few hours.
Day 5: Ankarana National Park visit
You will spend this morning visiting the Ankarana National Park. This park, located 100 km from Diego Suarez, is a jewel of biodiversity and geology. Renowned for its impressive Grey Tsingy—sharp limestone formations—this park offers spectacular landscapes and an extraordinary adventure for hiking and nature lovers. Spanning over 18,000 hectares, Ankarana is home to exceptional wildlife, including several species of lemurs, chameleons, bats, and over 100 bird species. The network of caves, canyons, and underground rivers that crisscross the park adds a mysterious dimension to the visit. The Ankarana National park is also a sacred place for local people, with protected cultural sites steeped in history.
Day 6: Ankarana-Ankify-Nosy Be
This day marks the beginning of your beach vacation. You will drive to the Ankify harbour and will visit some cocoa and vanilla plantation near Ambanja. Then, you will take a speedboat which will take you to the Nosy Be mainland. From there, you will transfer to your hotel.
Day 7: Nosy Sakatia
After your breakfast, you will head to the marvelous Nosy Sakatia on a private boat. On this island, you will mainly find paradise-like beaches but also lemurs wandering near some fishermen villages. For an hour, you will explore this island in its deepest and will walk across some vanilla fields, some coffee plantations and will spot some rare orchid flowers. After lunch, you will get back to your hotel.
Day 8: Nosy Komba&Nosy Tanikely
Literally meaning “Lemurs’ Island”, Nosy Komba is your today’s destination. This island is located about 15 minutes from Nosy Be Island and is the home to endemic lemurs, which live in harmony with the island’s inhabitants. Along with lemurs, you will also spot some endemic turtles, chameleons, birds, lizards, snakes and many other endemic animals during your hike. This hike will also take you to some villages for some unique meet and greet time.
After the lemurs, you will spend the rest of the day with marine endemic animals. Indeed, you will head to the magic Nosy Tanikely, a protected area where you will find some unique marine biodiversity, including some marine turtles, which you can almost touch during your snorkeling sessions. Enjoy the beauty of Madagascar’s marine biodiversity at its best!
Day 9: Nosy Iranja
Nosy Iranja is made up of two islets: Nosy Iranja Be and Nosy Iranja Kely. These two pieces of land are connected by an immaculate 2lm-long sandbank. Photographers and beach-lovers, get ready to be amazed! Let yourself be lulled by the beauty of the landscapes near which turquoise water surrounding the lagoon lets the sunlight reflect and makes the sea sparkle. A peaceful place for tranquility-lovers.
Day 10: Departure
Today, you will leave the Nosy Be archipelago. You will be taken to the international airport of Nosy Be where you will take an international flight, which will take you back home. Veloma! See you soon.
